Methanol to Propylene
(MTP)

Catalyzer's Methanol to Propylene catalyst is best in the class catalyst to produce high purity propylene from methanol with > 99% per pass conversion of methanol. It is equivalent to Lurgi MTP catalyst.

It is zeolite based cylindrical extrudate catalyst with proprietary additives. In the first step, methanol is converted to DME. In second reactor, DME is combined with steam and hydrocarbon recycles to convert DME into Propylene, minor amount of etheylene, LPG and gasoline.

MTP catalyst from Catalyzer offers clients much lower cash cost compared with crude-based processes such as naphtha cracking, metathesis or propane dehydrogenation (PDH). The technology has proven reliability in various references and allows plants to benefit from in-situ regeneration.
